Second Annual 2-C Winter Wonderland Extravaganza a Huge Success!

 

             I can sum up my feelings about the Second Annual 2-C Winter Wonderland Extravaganza in a single word: WOW!  I’m unbelievably proud of all the hard work and effort that the kids put into preparing for their performances.  Watching students perform their poems and The Great Gingerbread Kid Caper made me realize what fluent second grade readers they are becoming.  But beyond that, I also got to see fourteen confident girls and boys stand up and celebrate their work in front of a huge audience (something that is hard to do at any age). 

             I want to thank all of the parents, relatives, and guests who came to enjoy the celebration and support our reading.  I also want to thank my amazing parent volunteers who helped make the celebration possible, by providing refreshments and helping to organize the classroom before and after the extravaganza.  I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that the audience was overflowing into the hallway.  That’s just further evidence that I have an amazing group of dedicated and supportive parents at Center School!
